- the responsible on behalf of CERN of the contract for Service activities [Category 2 operation]
- TE-EPC group for activities in the framework of a Technical Stop
- He has a role in safety matters and works in partnership with the responsible of the Safety Coordination, namely :
- the responsible on behalf of CERN of the contract for Service activities [Category 2 operation]
- EN-ACE group in charge of the planning, safety and management of co-activities for activities in the context of a technical stop
- Sources : Risks associated with Works and Services (WS)
Roles in safety matters
- During the preparation phase, the Work Supervisor
- For Service activities [Category 2 operation]
- takes into account the provisions in safety terms, written by the responsible on behalf of CERN of the contract, in the Prevention Plan (PP)
- ensures that the activities to be executed are already covered by the PP
- asks to the the responsible on behalf of CERN of the contract complementary Common Inspection Visits (VIC) for the adaptation of the PP
- declares if necessary his intervention in IMPACT application
- For activities in the framework of a Technical Stop
- assess the risks connected with each of the activities it carries out
- defines the associated preventive and protective measures
- organises if necessary VIC with the support of the Engineering Referents for Operational Safety (EROS) or HSE unit, writes the minutes and distributes them through IMPACT apllication
- announces his activities to EN-ACE for the management of co-activities and declares his intervention through IMPACT application
- takes into account any additional provisions requested by EN-ACE
- During the intervention, the Work Supervisor
- takes into account and enforces generic security documents, namely:
- for Service activities [Category 2 operation]: the Prevention Plan (PP or simplified PP)
- for activities in the framework of a Technical Stop: the Work and Safety Coordination Plan (WSCP)
- ensures that all of its own personnel are informed of Safety requirements
- ensures regular monitoring and inspections
- corrects any Safety deviation
